I can often be found snapping a photo before settling down to write on the cliffs or on the beach.
Note: I took most of these photos using a smartphone. I haven't edited them beyond the basic straightening and cropping. The colours are as you see them.

Wheal Coates engine house stands on the cliff above Chapel Porth. This served the mine that stretches out below the sea. It pumped out the water.

A beautiful double rainbow appeared at Porthtowan just after I finished drafting a particularly dark part of my book The Lamp Room.

This photo of sunset at Porthtowan was the front cover of one of my first short stories. It holds a special place in my heart.

I love this photo I took of my nieces and their friend back in 2019. It looks a lot more dramatic than it was! They were safe.
